DR 618E   Intermediate Drawing
Work from challenging still life set-ups, portrait models and cityscapes to produce sustained drawings. Draw with more authority and improve your use of line, composition, perspective and value while using a wide variety of wet and dry drawing media.  Apply these skills to strategies for assembling source material to produce finished drawings.  Begin also to develop a sense of the healthy tension between observation and invention in drawing.  Designed for students with basic drawing skills.  Full- or half-day.
10 weeks, Sundays, September 21 - November 23

DR 702EX  Drawing from Photographs
Photography has been a tool of the visual artist since its invention in the 19th century. Learn strategies to translate your photographs into unique drawings and paintings. Topics include gridding, cropping and enlarging images; use of the photocopier and making mixed media and color studies. Includes a history of the preparatory process of the artist.

Cerulean Arts Gallery and Studio

Cerulean Arts studio offerings include something for all levels, from novice to practicing professional. Instruction will be provided by myself and a group of professional artists and teachers in a relaxed and supportive environment.
